In Mexico I visited ancient sacred places and connected with the ancestral cultures of Mayan, Olmec, Toltec and Aztec civilizations.
The Harmonic Mayan Module, that considers reality as a resonant structure made of opposing energies in contrast,
inspired me to create parallel 11 series.
Every aspect of existence can be defined as a number 1 and its complementary opposite as another 1.
They both exist as antithetical extremes of the same energy.
This duality indicates two parallel realities: it is possible to transcend their apparent separation,
through the empty space between them, which is the portal.
In this perspective, P11 is the reflection where the vision is born, the union of opposite forces
– the mystical death and the rebirth -, and the gateway that opens the way to union.
Like in the previous series elements, I painted in acrylic on natural elements (trees, rocks).
Applying the principle of the parallel, I mirror duplicated the digital image, focusing on the vision that appeared in the center:
many overlapping faces and objects, expression of the elementary forces of matter,
unfolded and provided each artwork with its authentic meaning.
