artist statement

When I find myself immersed in Nature, I feel its energy pulsating through my whole being.

I empty my mind, I stand still and listen to perceive what the natural shapes are trying to suggest me,

and then I start painting this vision on the surface of a stone or a tree.

I am a Cosmopolitan Shamanic Land artist.

//Cosmopolitan, because I am travel through different cultures

to investigate the ancestral spiritual vision of life and express it through my artworks.

//Shamanic, because in Mexico, Peru and Brazil I endorsed the shamanic wisdom connected with the forces of Nature,

learning to perceive a different layer of reality: all matter is alive and everything is part of the same entity.

//Land artist, because I paint over natural elements surfaces like rocks and trees,

leaving a reminder to the people passing by to contemplate and to listen to the spirit of Nature,

in order to reestablish a connection that is often forgotten in modern society.

My artworks are a gateway to the vision of parallel realities and a channel for awareness expansion through artistic expression.

Through the new layers of perception that I create with different media,

I enable the viewer to visually experience the parallel dimensions that exist beyond what we consider reality

and to reflect about the inherent duality, that constitutes, at the same time, the whole and the void of existence.

That’s why I call my artistic style parallel art.

The process of creation, that connects the real organic matter with the unreal plastic one,

is quite complex and articulated in different steps: tuning in with Nature, painting on natural surfaces with acrylic,

photographing the natural or the painted scene, printing of the image on canvas, painting again with oil on canvas.

In the final work is not possible to distinguish what has been painted on the natural element from what has been painted on the photograph.

Matter and spirit merge into a new indivisible reality.
